Mando Power

This week we have been experimenting in the studio.  And in the words of Bruce Dickenson, yes the Bruce Dickenson “exploring the studio space.”  In the course of things I found myself with a mandolin in my hands cutting some tracks for a tune of Julian’s.  This one’s for you Ted.

    I can hear it now!

Seriously, I look forward to hearing the song when it’s ready.

I’d get creeped out by windows with no window coverings. Who knows what creatures are lurking out there in the dark at night, stealing all my creative ideas. And I’d certainly never turn my back to the pernicious portal…

For sure the windows look ominous from the Lens of the night, but, being able to see the forest from every room sure gives us a plus to some other studios where the monsters lurk inside. The mandolin solo in this particular song really gives the feel of a traveling band, not to mention the acordian which adds a tremendous amount of awesomeness to this recording. Can’t wait until we get a professional tamborine player in there!
